Today, on this day of Thanksgiving, I am thankful for so much:
- The freedoms that this country affords me
- The men and women of our military who are willing to pay the ultimate sacrifice to protect my freedoms
- My family which has supported me through a very rough year
- My friends who stood by me and helped me stay sane
- My kids who always know how to make me laugh
- All my Jeepin’ buddies who kept me rolling
- And most importantly I am thankful for God, who showed me that the path I was on was a dead end and then guiding me to the right one
I hope that each and everyone one of you enjoys your Thanksgiving and the rest of the holiday season and that you spend it surrounded by family and friends.
Peace!
Disney’s new movie The Haunted Mansion is a strangely humorous, yet scary ride. Based on the Haunted Mansion ride at Disneyland, you are taken on a tour of the old Gracey Mansion, a palatial estate in Louisiana.
Sarah Evers (Marsha Thomason) is summoned to the mansion as the owner is wanting to sell it…or so it appears. Jim Evers, played by Eddie Murphy, tags along even though it was requested that Sarah come alone.
They bring their kids, Michael (Marc John Jeffries) and Megan (Aree Davis) as well, as they are planning on this to be a “20 minutes tops” stop on their way out of town for a family weekend at the lake.
Once they get to the old, crumbling mansion they soon realize that things are not as they seem.

Who would have thought that getting a job would create such havoc in my life…sheesh!
My “free” time has dwindled as I am actually tired when I get home from work. I actually have to engage my mind everyday…a major change over the last few months.
But I guess that just means I need to make each blog entry mean something….or not.
As for now, it is snowing, the temp is hovering around 10° and I wish I had been on the ball enough to pick up more firewood when I was out. I could always break up a desk or a couch and toss it in the fireplace, but that is a tad extreme.
Oh well, wish me luck…I will find something to burn!!!
I saw this yesterday over on HipHopAnonymous and this morning Kendall, Larry and Kathie were discussing it on the KS107.5 Morning Show.
So Em said something that damn near every black rapper has said…and no one had a press conference about them. And it’s not like what he said was a lie…some women, black women included, are only out for the money. Who are we kidding here? I have far too many gold diggin’ ass friends to say otherwise.
The second track featured Eminem rapping about a black girlfriend he broke up with. “Blacks and whites, they sometimes mix/ But black girls only want your money, ’cause they’re dumb chicks,” he rhymes. Later in the freestyle Em raps, “Never date a black girl, because blacks only want your money/ And that shit ain’t funny.”
Mays and Scott need to stop with the pathetic hatin’ and realize that they look like nothing but cry baby fools. Benzino is pissed off because his loyal readers did not embrace his whack ass raps so he created a feud to try to bolster his record sales (hell, why not it works for everyone else right?)…’cept it didn’t work for him.

Toyota Corolla Hatchback.
2. My dream car is…
Hmmm….probably a Mercedes E55 AMG or a Mercedes G55 AMG (G-Wagon)
3. Can you drive a vehicle with a stick shift? If yes, how long did it take you to learn?
Of course. I learned to drive on a stick, my mom wouldn’t let me get my license until I could drive a stick. It took me about 1 full day of driving to get it down pat.
4. What is the fastest you have ever driven?
110mph on a crotch rocket down I-70…sick and wrong, but oh the rush!
5. How many people you have crammed into a vehicle at one time?
I have had 8 in my Jeep. I tend to roll solo or with the kids only.
Yep, stole this idea from Trent F. who stole it from JT. Thanks a lot guys!
.:Top 5 Things Wrong In My Field Of Vision Right Now:.
- Saturday Night Live sucks!
Again, another lame ass SNL. Missy rocked the stage and the Weekend Update had me crying, but the rest of the show sucked monkey tail.
- Paying $90 to take a group of prepubescent boys to Casa Bonita
Yep, that is exactly what I spent to take the boys and their friends to CB for their birthday bash….and the food was worse than cold Taco Bell…BLEECH!!!!
- Starting a new job and still being flat broke.
- Missing out on a killer deal on a killer digital camera
I have been trying to snag this damn camera for like a year, this past week Office Max clearanced the damn things out for like $175…down from $400.

So I survived the first week at the new job. Actually enjoying this gig a lot. The people are very cool to work with, I love getting up and throwing on jeans and a t-shirt and hitting the road and I did not get hit by a car running across Broadway to Starbucks.
If anything, Starbucks and Jamba Juice will be the death of me…I just can’t resist either and alternated each day between Chai Tea Latte and Peenya Kowlada.
Maybe the daily intake of Jamba with immunity boost will help me kick the cold and stay healthy…it has worked before.
I am fighting a losing battle with a cold. Sydney has been sick for a few days and apparently she loves me SOOOOO MUCH that she just had to share her wonderful germs with me. Thanks sweetie!!!
Bah!!!!!!!
As long as I can keep it from becoming strep, like damn near ever cold I have ever had does, I will be happy.
But on the flip side, I have decided that a Volkswagen Jetta will be my next vehicle purchase. Should make a nice daily driver and give me a platform to do some “bling bling” stuff to it.
Here is a nice pic of a nice Jetta GLX from the gallery at VW Vortex:

My body is just beat, my brain is mush and I just need to sleep!!!
I started my new job yesterday, it really does kick ass and the people I work with are very cool. Office is laid back, there is insanity going on, but everyone takes their chunk of it and deals with it.
It is so cool to be working with clients that I understand and can deal with their philosophies and approaches. With the exception of only one client, I use the products and sites and organizations in my everyday life.
Nice!
And you know me, the workaholic, so of course I could not give up my gig at the Denver Post. So on days like yesterday…I get delirious stupid. I worked my first day at the new job, sat around for about 2 hours and then went and did a night shift at the Post…and was back up and out the door for another day of fun at 7 am.
Yeah, that could explain why I am so tired.
Fortunately I do not work every night at the Post, only a couple time a week. So the rest of this week will be spent learning my new job and all it entails.
Wish me luck!
For those of you who know the dilemma I have been having with my friend and the sleep lost over trying to figure out what to do….you can all stop the worrying.
We had the talk last night. Nope, nothing even remotely close to what any of you suggested, it happened accidentally in transition from another conversation.
I think we both now feel much better, I know I do. And I hope that Crazy Ass Marie now understands me a lot better…and maybe her husband as well.
It kind of drained me emotionally, but I am glad that we, hell I, was able to have that difficult conversation without it becoming an anger fest.
So that is that!
For a little lighter fare, I found a new list over at Trent F’s Beats & Rants 2.1.
I present to you the Sunday Brunch (and yes, I again realize that it is Monday):
CATCHIN’ SOME ZZZZZ’S
1. How many hours of sleep do average per day/night?
I have a sleep disorder, have had this since I started college, so I sleep on average about 4-6 hours a night.
2. Are you a bed or blanket hog?
Guilty of being a blanket hog. My side of the bed is covered in blankets and pillows while Da Hubby has but one little sheet.
3. Are you a sleepwalker?
Nope.
4. Do you have recurring dreams?
Yeah, the one about me driving the plane, not flying, but driving. No clue what that is all about.
5. Do you talk in your sleep?
I don’t, but Da Hubby does…GRRRRR!!!!!
Peace!
