At this moment, what is your favorite…
1. …song?
Usher (Featuring Ludacris and Lil’ Jon) - Yeah
Oddly I have been an Usher fan since day one and even as I got older I still like him. Maybe because his music matured as I did. I love the crunk/smooth R&B thing they got going on.
2. …food?
Thai Basil’s Pad Thai
First time eating at this new Thai joint out here in richy rich land and it is on point! I grubbed like I did back in Detroit.
3. …tv show?
The O.C. and 24 (yep a tie)
My kids got me watching The O.C., I thought it was going to be stupid, but that is a damn good show. 24, well I am a 24 junkie so I don’t miss it. 24 and The O.C. are the only two shows I watch regularly.
4. …scent?
Jean Paul Gautier
I just can’t get away from this damn scent! It is my favorite, but I HATE the feelings it evokes in me. Memories that I just don’t want to dredge up ya know.
5. …quote?
“I act like shit don’t phase me, inside it drives me crazy. My insecurities could eat me alive.” — Eminem
— Friday Five
Sunday Brunch:.
1. When you were a teenager, did you sneak out of the house?
With my mother…yeah right. Hell I was doing good to get out of the house WITH permission
2. Have you ever gone skinny-dipping?
Nope, I don’t go swimming that often, so skinny-dipping would be a chore
3. Have you ever dyed your hair a wild and crazy color?
Oh man have I dyed my hair some wild colors: Pink, Purple, Orange…some funky almost blond color
4. Did you ever get so drunk you couldn’t remember much of the night?
Unfortunately yes. Twice. I have heard the stories of my dancing on top of a bar in Seattle’s Bay Square from one too many people. I do recall getting fondled by some Jamaican dude on the dance floor at one bar and laying in the street screaming that I was not too drunk to walk back to my hotel. I woke up the next morning in my hotel room, three of my friends in various spots on the floor and a card in my pocket from a cab driver that said “Thanks for the great tip. Call me if you need to go ANYWHERE in the city”. The other time I lost my truck. As in couldn’t find it for a while. I stopped drinking after that.
5. Tell us about something wild and crazy you did as a teenager you probably should have gotten in trouble for but never got caught.
Lord I hope my mom doesn’t read this…but we stole cars from rental lots for joy riding on weekends. I couldn’t drive for shit, but it didn’t matter as long as you didn’t get caught. A few others did, but I escaped the long arm of the law.
Finally got off my ass an upgraded to WordPress for my blogging utility and moved my site back to my home server.
Changed the look of the site and will be adding in all the fun stuff later this week. Until I get a free moment the comments on all imported post are showing as closed. I will be fixing that later today I hope, but no later than Wednesday.
Hope you enjoy the new look and find WordPress even easier to deal with than Moveable Type.
UPDATE
Comments are now fixed and open, trackback is now fixed and working and all post are now in their correct categories.
BLOG ON!!!!
Someone once told me that there is a song that defines every person. I found mine early last year…thanks to my second-favorite person from Detroit…Eminem
Some days I sit
Staring out the window
Watching this world pass me by
Sometimes I think theres nothing to live for
I almost break down and cry
I’m crazy
Oh so crazy
Why am I here
Am I just wasting my time?
But then I see my baby
Suddenly I’m not crazy
It all makes sense when I look into her eyes
Chorus:
Sometimes I feel like the world’s on my shoulders
Everyones leaning on me
Cause sometimes it feels like the worlds almost over
But then she comes back to me.
My baby girls keeps getting older
I watch her grow up with pride
People make jokes
Because they don’t understand me
They just don’t see my real side
I act like shit don’t faze me
Inside it drives me crazy
My insecurities could eat me alive
But then I see my baby
Suddenly Im not crazy
It all makes sense when I look into her eyes
Chorus:
Sometimes I feel like the world’s on my shoulders
Everyones leaning on me
Cause sometimes it feels like the worlds almost over
But then she comes back to me.
Yep, that is me, to a fucking T. Does it define me? It’s the closest I can come to telling people how I feel everyday.
I love my boys more than anything, but Sydney has this magical way of calming the brewing storm, no matter how bad it gets.
Do I keep everything bottled up? For shizzle as my little bro would say. Is it tearing me apart? Well not yet…but there have been some close calls.
And yes, my insecurites could very well eat me alive.
Work, work, work…that seems to be all I have time to do these days.
I got a promotion so that has made me even busier. Trying to fit in all the funtastic things I have to do each day is becoming a job in and of itself.
I am working on the new ferret cage. Decided to build one instead of shelling out $200+ for something that I would still end up putting together. Snotty is helping so of course this thing is a conglomeration of engineering expertise.
Kids have school projects and baseball training. Yeah, trying to keep up with them is not even a battle I can win.
Da Hubby is now playing in three different bands…so I never know from week to week whether he will be around or not.
And then there is the littlest one, The Princess, who demands all the attention in the world…and gets rather pissed off when she doesn’t get it.
It is insane to say the least.
But that is the life of T-Square these days…don’t you wish your life could be oh so exciting?
