1. What is your favorite mode of transportation when traveling?
For speed and ease I would say plane, but for convenience I would say car. I usually fly, but if its a day or less drive I will do the road trip.

2. If you had the means to travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I have a dream of going to Paris

3. Have you ever been to another country?
Canada and Bermuda…not a world traveler like some :(

4. If time were not an issue, how long would could you stand to be away from home?
Forever? Just kidding…I would say a month or so…if time was not an isue and kids were not an issue.

5. What is the funnest or most interesting trip you’ve taken?
My dad took me on a trip when I was younger, we went to Atlanta and I got to go to the CNN studios (in the early days of CNN, circa 1982); We went Knoxville to the 1982 Worlds Fair (a serious once in a lifetime event for me); We headed to New York (were only there for a few hours, but it was cool); then we went to Bermuda, where my dad is from. We spent like a week there and I got to meet family and made new friends, got to explore the ocean in clear blue water (you could see the fish swimming around your legs), had my first ever boat ride (found out that me and boats do not get along) and got to experience a whole different lifestyle.

A Change of Pace…Coming Very Soon

Ξ July 21st, 2004 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Diary of a Mad Woman |

Enough of the ranting and bs for a while. I guess the meds are working and making me the nicer, more gentle T-Square again…a good thing I think.

Anyway, in light of this new development, I have started back doing some writing and reviews for a few websites out there in Cyberland.

In the next few weeks or so I will start posting my reviews and articles here after they have been postd on the respective sites for a week. Time to put that damn expensive degree back to work

Also going to try to start getting the rest of my old sports reporting clips online. Maybe I can get a certain individual to help me out with that…

A Note To The Masses

Ξ July 18th, 2004 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Diary of a Mad Woman |

We interrupt this blog for a special message…

If you are ever fortunate enough to have the T-Square loan you money (which will probably NEVER EVER happen again) don’t dick around with the repayment.

If you say you are going to pay me back on XX date then either pay me back on XX date or tell me you can’t WAY BEFORE XX date. Don’t make craptacular excuses, don’t try to hide from me, just pick up the phone and say, “Hey T, I am not going to be able to pay you back when I thought I could. I can get you your money by (fill in the blank with a date that will work for you).”

Fairly simple I think. Don’t make me have to call you and ask for my money. Things get very ugly when it gets to that point.:mad:

Take note of the last two blog entries…

1) I may explode without warning.
2) I an not to be messed with. I may explode.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled blog…

20 Questions to a Better Personality (happily borrowed from j. brotherlove)

Wackiness: 30/100
Rationality: 26/100
Constructiveness: 46/100
Leadership: 50/100

You are an SEDF–Sober Emotional Destructive Follower. This makes you an evil genius. You are extremely focused and difficult to distract from your tasks. With luck, you have learned to channel your energies into improving your intellect, rather than destroying the weak and unsuspecting.

Your friends may find you remote and a hard nut to crack. Few of your peers know you very well–even those you have known a long time–because you have expert control of the face you put forth to the world. You prefer to observe, calculate, discern and decide. Your decisions are final, and your desire to be right is impenetrable.

You are not to be messed with. You may explode.

And you guys thought I was joking…this explains a lot huh?

Some Days….

Ξ July 14th, 2004 | → 1 Comments | ∇ Diary of a Mad Woman |

Some days its better to just stay in bed, don’t talk to anyone and hope that the day just passes by without causing any pain and suffering.

One day I will remember this and just stay in bed

Katie Melua - Call Off The Search

Ξ July 8th, 2004 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Music Reviews |

Nineteen-year-old Katie Melua has a voice to be cherished…its too bad she was stifled with predictable lyrics in her debut release “Call Off The Search“.

Melua has been touted as the next Norah Jones, but she will have to grow a little more to take it to that level.

The hit single from the album, “Crawling Up A Hill” is upbeat and kind of funky, but I was not impressed with too many of the other tracks. Melua spends far too much time dragging out the words of every song…maybe in an effort to sound more sexy or more bluesy. Either way, she would be better served to use her beautiful voice without the gimmicks.

My Aphrodisiac Is You” is a great love song…sang straight out with a strong voice. This is probably my favorite track on the CD.

I enjoyed all the music on the CD, the lyrics and vocals at times were a bit much to take though.
