Hold the Phone Batman!

Y’all read that post below…the one about me buying Treo 600 and all that, right? Yeah, well scratch that.

I had the Treo for 2 days and that was enough for me. It has its limitations, just like the T5 did. Quirky little things that in two days time drove me CRAZY!!!!

So…I sold it. Actually sold it in less than 10 hours on eBay for way more than I paid for it.

sk3A.jpgAbout the same time I sold the phone, I realized that the new Sidekick 3 was being released to current T-Mobile customers that night. C pointed out to me that all my friends with SKIIs had ZERO problems with theirs as a phone…so maybe I just got a bad one in that regards.

Good point…and not like I needed a whole lot of pushing to buy yet another new gadget…so my Sidekick 3 should be delivered on Monday, Wednesday at the latest.

Now, I know without question that the Sidekick 3 will do everything I need data wise (calendar, email, alarms…) let’s just hope that the phone thing on the SKII was just a fluke and this one works as well as folks have said.

So Long Blackberry…Hello Treo

I was so very enamored with that little Blackberry 7100t…right up until I started dropping calls. Not just a few calls, but a lot of calls. Calls that were fairly important in T-Square’s life.

I started carrying both my BB and my Motorola Razr with me just in case I needed to make an important call while out. That got old quick so I had to make a decision. Well after having lunch with some friends where we all displayed a new level of geekiness…I fell in love with a Palm T5.

Picked one of those up for dirt cheap and it worked well for weeks…but then I got to that pesky thing of carrying both the Palm and my phone and whatever else I needed that day. Too much for one T-Square to deal with.

So I started looking into my options:

Blackberry - until they make one tha actually works well as a phone I will have to pass

Windows Based SmartPhone - my love on Windows is not the high, so I am not real sure of a phone based on it…and the price on most of them is ridiculous

Sidekick - pretty cool device, but tends to be for the younger set…and it doesn’t work that great as a phone.

Treo - Palm-based OS and reviews say it works well as a phone

I picked the Treo…

Picked up a cheap Treo 600 to play with and see how it works. Ultimately, if the Treo works as I hope it does, I will upgrade to either a 650 or 700p. More than likely the 650 as I can use it on T-Mobile and it only cost me an extra $5 a month to get Internet access.

I’m In Love…

With a man of the cloth.

I know something bad is going to happen to me, but let me explain…

So last week my mom asked me to go to church with her. Not something I usually do, just not really a church person ya know. So anyway, she asks, I say ok.

clint_brown.jpgWell let’s just say something happened…or more accurately SOMEONE happened. That someone would be Pastor Clint Brown. The man is amazing! He is funny, he is thought provoking, he is real!

Now, this has never happened before, but the man made me cry in church! That is huge folks…really huge. He made me realize that the situation I was in needed to end and it needed to end immediately. He opened my eyes to the problems I was facing and gave me the answers to get past them.

Now I will admit, the brother is FINE…but my statement of love had absolutely nothing to do with that. The mans words won my heart over.

Man…I may have to actually go to church…again.

R.I.P. Hurc

It is with a very heavy heart that I report that Lt. John Shaw Vaughan (Hurc) was killed in action serving his country in Mosul, Iraq on Wednesday.

Hurc was in the 172nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team based in Fairbanks, AK and had only been in Iraq about a month, on the street, where it is most dangerous.

You will be missed!
