He Does Have A Point

Barack Obama does make a pretty damn good point here. I mean…for real yo since when does No. 2 get to tell No. 1 what to do?

It Is Done

Ξ March 8th, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Diabetic Episodes, Diary of a Mad Woman |

Had solid foods today…not nearly as painful as I thought and I was starving, last ate real food Tuesday night…and I HATE JELLO!!! Sugar Free Jello is just that much worse. Really…just horrible.

For those who don’t know…most of you probably…I had my thyroid removed to help combat Graves Disease. My thyroid was extremely enlarged and causing me issues with breathing, swallowing and talking so instead of doing radiation they opted to remove it completely.

Went in Wednesday, was in the hospital until Thursday afternoon…doing my best now to ween off the pain pills and become coherent again.

Will be on some form of medication for the rest of my life to control the things that the thyroid did. But the surgery got me off the medication that has been making me sick as hell for the past few months.

If I could avoid coughing I would probably be a lot happier in the pain area, but its part of the process I am told.

As long as I dont have to eat anymore Jello I am probably ok.

I got a super cool new scar across my neck…guys dig scars right? Yeah, I got pics too ;)

Scheduled…

Ξ February 16th, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Diabetic Episodes, Diary of a Mad Woman |

*SIGH*

My surgery is scheduled for March 5th. Will include a lovely stay in the hospital (yeah, color me surprised, I didn’t think there was a procedure that they couldn’t do in a half day with day surgery).

Not all that stressed…yet. This shit is major. 3 hours for the actual surgical procedure and 10-14 day recovery.

The time off work has been scheduled, the kids are being prepped…and Brandon is doing his best to get the house all cleaned up and a nice recovery spot in the family room set up for me.

As time gets closer, I will probably have more to say, but right now I kinda just don’t want to think about it.

In other news, the new car is forcing me to take a trip to…the Republic of BOULDER! Yeah, I know…but rather than give the Audi dealer $250 for a key, I will spend $10 in gas and pay the locksmith up there another $10 and call that DONE! $250 for a damn key, they must be out they ever lovin’ minds!!!!

Will report on the trip later…hoping it’s uneventful…

And The Stars Aligned and Life Was Good

Ξ February 2nd, 2008 | → 1 Comments | ∇ Diary of a Mad Woman |

So sitting out in my driveway is my nice new Audi A4…SCHWEET!!!!!!

Sold the Jeep at 3:30, had new ride by 7.

Colorado Cars Direct did me up right, even drove all the way from Golden to Centennial to pick me up after I sold the XJ so I could get the deal done. Great service indeed!

Happy early birthday to me!

Good Vibrations

If I am lucky and the stars align correctly I may be driving a new car before I go under the knife.

Hope is that I can jump through the hoops and make this my new ride:

2002 Audi A4 1.8t Quattro

2002 Audi A4 1.8t Quattro :) Very sweet ride indeed! I still love Jeeps, but I think I can love the hell out of an Audi as well.

Going Under the Knife

Ξ January 17th, 2008 | → 1 Comments | ∇ Diabetic Episodes, Diary of a Mad Woman |

As of Tuesday…saw a specialist, they put me on insulin to try to bring my blood sugar levels down below 200. Right now running around 350-400 which is pretty bad. My kids are sadist and want to watch me give myself shots in the stomach…there is something wrong with them I tell ya!!!

In the next few weeks (as soon as the blood sugar levels come down) I will be having surgery to remove my thyroid completely. It is still enlarged and actually getting bigger and is causing me issues with breathing, swallowing and talking…so the best course of action is to remove it and see what happens. Removal could fix a lot of the other issues and will get me off the medication that is making me horribly sick.

It’s kind of a bigger surgery and the recovery is 10-14 days so…trying to work that out with work.

Anyway, that is the update….sucks, but doesn’t suck.

Happy New Year!

Yeah, a few days late, maybe even a dollar short…but it’s 2008 bitches and it’s time to get it poppin’!!!!

Yup, I said it.

To start out the year, thought I would change things up a little bit around here…shake off the cobwebs and do a little rearranging and design changin’. Whatcha think?

Gonna start checking back in on my blogsphere buddies and try to get caught up and back at it here with the at least occasional post. I know, I now…I have said it before, but it’s a new year and it’s time to do what I do best.

Happy Sexy Kwanzaa!

Ξ December 25th, 2007 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Diary of a Mad Woman |

As EFL says, “Happy Sexy Kwanzaa”! Now I don’t celebrate Kwanzaa (which starts tomorrow by the way) I do celebrate the heck out of some Christmas…so Merry Sexy Christmas to one and all.

I hope that you had a nice day of friends and family…me, I had a nice day of family and snow. Yes, f’in SNOW. And lots of it. So much so that it kept us all from going out and seeing anyone else. My pops and fam made it over, but they live like 5 minutes away on a good day.

Anyway, you know the drill…

OUT!

Maybe It’s Time…

Hmm…I have been trying to keep up with a photo post here and there, but that is just filler. Great Tasting, Less Filling.

I think the time has come for me to step back in the ring and start trying to knock out a post a day or so. Ok, a post maybe every coupla days…that work for you?

I peruse news sites all day long and find many little treasures that make me chuckle, want to cry or at least go WTF? So I’m gonna give it a whirl and see if I can get things back on track here again.

I have been blogging for Sports Illustrated this football season and that has been a true labor of love. Blogging Denver Broncos games mostly has helped me discover so many new ways to say YOU SUCK that I feel liberated and have to tell everyone I see that they suck in all these super cool new ways.

I have decided that me and my kids could probably beat up on the Broncos at this point. I mean damn…have you seen them play? I will be blogging tomorrow nights game and if ya feel like showing up and playing see how bad they suck hit the Sports Illustrated site and check out the game page.

Other than that, just working for a living…yup. More updates to come, but it’s late and I’m tired and the bed be a callin’ my name.

T-Square’s Big Post Of Life’s List - Sometime around Summer 2007

Ξ November 8th, 2007 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Diary of a Mad Woman |

So this should have been posted back in about July, most of my Top 5 Things Wrong In My Field Of Vision Right Now have been resolved…well almost. Still sick, still battling and I think it’s time for me to come BACK!!!! Not sure if I can commit to the level of blogging I was doing, but I got some shit to dish ya know!

For now, let’s just run with this…

.:Top 5 Things Wrong In My Field Of Vision Right Now:.

  1. Being sick… :(
*SIGH* Again…sick like run test and visit the hospital, not sick like blow your nose. Taking meds, they don’t really make me feel better. I am tired and weak all the time. Shit just sucks… (Update: Taking lots of meds and think the doc has finally found a combo of drugs that at least puts me back at an almost level spot. I ain’t falling asleep at stop lights anymore so something must be working)
  2. Driving a rolling death trap
Took the Jeep back from my mom a while ago cause she said it was making funny noises. It was. Now it makes more funny noises and clunks and shakes. It’s usually just me in the Jeep so no real worries, but now I have to cart the Princess to school every morning so…time to pop for a new car/truck for T-Square.
  3. Being broke.
Mo’ money, mo’ problems. Seems the more money I make, the less money I have. Not even trying to understand that correlation, but it sucks.
  4. Idiots
Be careful of idiots in large groups…or small ones. When the person who has been put in charge of something after being demoted from being in charge of something else cause they sucked at it decides to start making changes based on what they think is right…take cover. The fall out from it will be bad…and ultimately take the idiot out of play, but the collateral damage may be costly. (Update: This shit right here is funny because it all played out EXACTLY as I predicted…and while the fall out sucked for abut 30 seconds…the right people got the career beat down they deserved.)
  5. Missing out on the Princess’ first day of kindergarten :(
See entry No. 1 in this list to explain why I missed it. Sad Panda!

.:The 3 Best Things I Saw, Did, or Listened To This Week:.

  • I Saw: The e-mail that changed it all
Sometimes it just takes something as simple as an e-mail saying hi to get you past that moment of hell
  • I Did: Called someone on their shit
Keep your insensitive and degrading remarks to yourself fucktard!
  • I Listened To: Hardcore apologize to me
He owned up to a mistake and apologized like a man
