Whales, Dolphins…Whalfins?

Whalfin So there I lay, happily resting on the couch, when Hardcore and Grammy start talking about the baby whalfin.

“Huh? What is a whalfin?,” says me.

“It was in your paper,” Grammy says.

“Yeah right, I would remember that…what is a whalfin?”

“A whale and a dolphin hooked up and had a baby, it’s a whalfin. You think we are making this up?”

“Yeah mama, they had a baby and it’s a whalfin…there were pictures,” the HardCore one says.

Yeah, whatever, I say they are messing with me and my sleepiness…until I get to work and look for pictures of this whalfin…

Well I’ll be damned if there ain’t such a creature…

Fired Over Your Blog?

Michael Hanscom has been fired by Microsft…well by the contractor he worked for who worked for Microsoft…for a post on his blog.

He didn’t bad mouth Microsoft, he didn’t bad mouth their products…but what he did do was post a picture, and enough information that the average Joe could find his location. Microsoft deemed that a security risk.

I give Hanscom a ton of credit for admitting that he is the one at fault for this. It was a bad judgment call posting the pic and the location info together.

I wish Hanscom luck in his job search, I know personally how bad the job market is.

And You’re Surprised Why????

Performer Roy Horn Critically Injured by Tiger

I saw this on the news and in the papers over the weekend. Folks expressed shock that this could happen. I had to stop and ask why are you shocked?

The dude worked with WILD ANIMALS! You know, Tigers, wild, eat people…there is a reason they have them in cages at zoos. So folks were shocked and dismayed that a tiger attacked Horn. Me? I say it was simply a question of when it would happen. Guess we all got our answer.

Don’t think me uncaring, I do hope Roy gets better, but I hope this makes him think twice about playing with Tigers.
