After debating it for a long while I came upon the opportunity to get a new puppy.

Introducing Cosmo Burrito, my little Lab/Boxer mix. He’s mostly Lab (dad’s full Lab), with a hint of Boxer (mom is Boxer and Lab).

Cute litte bugger ain’t he ;)

He is 11-weeks-old and doing his best to drive poor Ashe crazy.

Check out more pics of Cos as The Princess calls him.

The 101/1001

The Mission: Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria: Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).

Start Date: 02.03.05
Deadline: 10.31.07
Tasks Completed: 3

74. Wear a dress (this will hurt)

Well, I can say without doubt that I thought this would be the last thing I completed on this list, but the love I have for my Cousin Jamaal pushed this to the forefront.

Jamaal lived with me for the summer for an internship and he asked me to accompany him to the end of summer reception. I was all set to wear some dockers and a nice shirt when he dropped the boom on me that it was like semi-formal and stuff. Nice.

Whatever…I did what I had to do:

Hmmm..Accidently Completed This One

17. Go one month without wearing a hat

Uhhh….damn, went and got my hair braided and realized that its been over a month and I haven’t worn a hat. Well I wore one on Saturday for Big Dawg Z’s baseball game, but I was past a month at that point.

Sweet!!!

Due To Cirumstances Beyond My Control

It has been brought to my attention that there are a few task on my 101/1001 list that can not be completed due to the actions of others. Is it ok to rewrite them? I’m guessing so since I still ain’t completed the 101 list anyway.

The 101/1001 - Update

The Mission: Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria: Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).

14. Buy a new digital camera - DONE

Finally made my mind up and went out and bought myself a new digital camera: Kodak EasyShare 6490

Kodak DX6490

The DX6490 matches the precision of SCHNEIDER-KREUZNACH VARIOGON 10X Optical Zoom Lens with the intelligence of Kodak’s new Color Science Image Processing Chip. The result is pure digital bliss.

A camera that delivers in-depth detail and stunning color – from wide angle to true telephoto – all in one compact package.
Professional quality 10X Optical Zoom Lens (38-380 mm equivalent)
Precision-crafted to fulfill the finer resolution requirements of digital imaging
Incredible sharpness and clarity across entire image
Striking edge-to-edge brightness
Fast f/2.8 – 8.0 lens delivers sharp, bright images throughout the zoom range, even in low light situations (wide angle f/2.8 at 38 mm - telephoto f/3.7 at 380 mm)

Not the extreme upper end Nikon I was looking at, but something a little more in line with my actual photo needs and has some more advanced features so I still have some room to grow.

Going to play with this thing for about a week and see how I like it. There is a model that is a step up from this one and if for some reason the 6490 doesn’t work for me I can step up to the 7590.

Expect a bunch of photos in the next few days :-)
