So Big Dawg Z (who hence forth will be refered to as ‘BIG CAT’) decided to take a web design class at school. COOL!
Last night he asked me to show him how to use (Adobe) Macromedia DreamWeaver so that he can be ahead of the class and get to working on his website
Talk about happy Mama!
I think he will be pretty happy with the class and all the help he can get at home. Once his site goes live I will post the link for all to see.
Someone has a new addition to their family
NO!!! Not T-Square…
A few months back I decided to get back in touch with a few folks from my past, one of which was an intern who worked for us at the Rocky Mountain News. Gary Love, one great guy and a true newsman…he made my time at the Rocky that much more enjoyable and made me damn proud when he went out to the real world and made a success of himself.
Well Gary got married to a wonderful woman named Kim and over the weekend they welcomed their first child!
Murrow Cooper Love was born May 20, 2006.
Cute as a button!!!
The second person I got back in touch with was my best friend while in Detroit and the first person I ever interviewed and played a role in hiring, Beth Novak. She married a great guy we like to call Charlie and when I made contact with her she had some amazing news: She is pregnant and expecting a little one around July 14, 2006. I told her to expedite that and shoot for July 7 so that her kid could share a birthday with The Princess.
It’s always great to get good news when you get back in touch with old friends!
Well I finally got back over to see Khamari and got to introduce him to his Uncle Jamaal.
Little K just gets cuter every time I see him:

And after much coaxing I finally got Jamaal to hold his little nephew…and he didn’t drop him or anything

Can a 2-year-old watch “The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie”?
The Princess can do about 5-6 times a day if ya let her. To the point that she can act out just about every scence from the movie, including dialouge.
Maybe this DVD player in my room was not the best idea…
Well the fam has spoken…and as usual I respond.
The kids section of this site has been spun-off into its own little blog. In an effort to keep the happy kiddie stuff off the raving lunatic site I have started www.justmykids.net…a blog about, well, just my kids.
At the rate this is going, this place will be all MINE very soon.
The boys went out and did it again! They have been crowned the best 9-year-old football team in the Denver Metro area by defeating the Lakewood Tigers 38-0 in the inaugural Burt.com Bowl.
Spartans quareterback Reese Weber scored 3 touchdowns on offense and ended the game with an interception that he returned for his 4th score of the game.
Zach played a great game and put some good hits on some folks.
And Clayton Johnson kicked the first ever field goal for the Spartan Purple. Field goals were implemented for this game and Clayton booted one through on his first try.
Unfortunately my digital camera took a header so pics will come as soon as I get the film developed.
Great job and great season!
To mingle with the pros…

Nice little bonus for winning and being positive
Hardcore is still walking and breathing, even though he said his heart skipped a beat and he might need some medical attention
Gentle Giant was much more laid back…as usual
The boys got to go meet Carmelo Anthony at a book signing and he was nice enough to take a few pics with them.

***UPDATE***
If you would like a copy of the above pics for your Hardcore and Gentle Giant collection…leave me a comment and I will get them out as soon as I print them…
OH YEAH!!!!!
The boys went out and got the job done! The defeated the defending champion Hawk Blue 14-6 to take the 9-year-old NFC Championship!
The boys saved their best game of the season for last and played near perfect football on a super cold, snowy Saturday morning. And Zachary finally scored for the first time!
He got a tackle for a safety that seemed to just knock what little wind the Hawks had out of them.
The boys were presented their trophys right there on the field with the announcer doing his best to mangle their names . Yes, announcer…The boys got it done up right.
Because of their win the Spartan Purple will now play in a cross-league game with the JeffCo League champions, the Burt.com Bowl, at Regis Jesuit High School.
I haven’t posted about Spartan Football at all this season…not because they were playing bad, I just haven’t had much time.
But this is the best post of them all:
THE SPARTANS
ARE HEADED FOR THE
SUPER BOWL!!!!
The boys went 6-2 in regular season and went into the playoffs as the No. 2 seed. The destroyed the Warrior Red today 27-0 to make it to the Super Bowl.
They will face the undefeated Hawks, who they should have beat in regular season.
Its time for some payback!!
Zachary has been playing some awesome football this season and was a force to be reckoned with in the game today. He made several tackles for losses and was just punishing the opposing linemen.
Should be a lot of fun next weekend.
